"Oracle I" Original

"Oracle 1"

11in x 14in

Acrylic, metallic ink, and styrofoam on cradled board.

Unframed, wired,ready to hang.

This powerful mixed-media relief sculpture acts as a visual bridge between ancient heritage and cosmic futures. Utilizing a stark, high-contrast palette of black, white, and metallic bronze, the artwork transcends simple portraiture to become an Afrofuturist Monolith.

The composition is dense with intricate patterning, suggesting complex data streams, coded ancestral knowledge, or the architecture of a forgotten civilization. These patterns—reminiscent of traditional West African textiles—envelop the figure, grounding the piece in earthly culture while suggesting infinite complexity.

The central figure, stripped of facial features for universal anonymity, commands attention. A majestic, fan-like corona erupts from its head. Finished in a cool, weathered grey-blue, this structure can be read as a technological antenna or a powerful psychic projector, emphasizing the figure's role as the Star-Seed Oracle—a timeless emissary channeling wisdom from beyond our current comprehension.

This work explores themes of transcendence, technological spirituality, and the enduring power of Black identity across space and time.
